Hello, I am new to using this service so I hope my etiquette is correct,I was recommended to use this site by my son. My question relates to the cost of a person going to film school (in particular New York Film School) My other son (who is nearly 40!) has dreamed since he was a small child of becoming a film director, its so far removed from his own life and due to difficult personal circumstances is something that he very much sees as way beyond his grasp.
He is currently saving hard to put himself into film school here in London,but what he is unaware of is that I have come into an immense inheritance and I would like to give him the amount that he needs to pay all of the costs for him. I would actually like to pay the costs for a school in New York as thats where his fiance lives and I know this would mean the world to him but I have no clue where to start to find out the costs: How much would the total costs be and how long would it take to complete?Is it possible to enter a film school in the US if you are an English citizen as long as you pay the relevant amount? Is the New York film school the best one or are there better schools in the US or even here in the UK? (I dont want to limit him to just one,although I think thats what he wants, Im only his mother, who am I to say!) Please bear in mind I am nearly seventy, and have no idea about films so please easy explanations
